As CEO, Matthew leads the entire KMH team and works with the Board of Directors to carry forth KMH’s mission, including continuing the culture change efforts already underway to transform KMH from an institution to a household community based on person-centered principles and practices.
Prior to joining KMH, Matthew was Administrator of Newton Presbyterian Manor, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Newton, Kansas. He led culture change efforts there and assisted with the development of three 20-bed households.
Bogner previously served as Epidemiologist for Sedgwick County (Kan.), and was a business development consultant for Via Christi Health System, the state’s largest provider of health care services.
Currently pursuing a doctorate in health administration from Central Michigan University, Bogner earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in public health at Wichita State University. He is a leadership Fellow of LeadingAge, a national association of 5,600 not-for-profit organizations dedicated to expanding the world of possibilities for aging. He is also a leadership Fellow of LeadingAge Kansas, which represents 160 not-for-profit long-term care organizations throughout Kansas.
